What is Active Release Technique and how does it work?

Active Release Techniques is truly the gold standard when it comes to soft tissue manipulation. ART is a soft tissue technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Focus is on the scar tissue and adhesions that form due to acute or chronic injury. Following a hands-on assessment of the texture, tightness and movement of the affected area, a trained ART® provider combines precisely directed tension with specific movements to treat these abnormal soft tissues.
